Guide for Authors

  1. Copyright and printing rights are reserved for the International Journal of Hotel and Tourism Studies and Restoration of Antiquities.
  2. Research is accepted in Arabic or English, provided that the research includes two summaries (one in Arabic and one in English) at the beginning and end of the research, so that the summary at the beginning is in the same language as the research and with a maximum of 300 words.
  3. The research summary includes (5) indicative words at most.
  4. Reference, whether in the text or footnotes, to the original source in the event of literal quotation and the use of information, a table, a figure, or an image from any other source, as well as placing the quotation between quotation marks.
  5. In the event of using images, they must be colored and of a high degree of clarity.
  6. Writing scientific research submitted to the journal using MS Word.
  7. Scientific research written in Arabic, the font size for the title of the research should be 14 bold, for the titles within the text 12 bold, and the text 12 normal, and the font type is Simplified Arabic.
  8. Scientific research written in English, the font size for the title of the research should be 14, for the titles within the text 12 bold, and the text 12 normal, and the font type is Times New Roman.
  9. Titles should be written in regular letters, not italics, and should not be underlined, and punctuation marks such as colons, dashes, colons, etc. should not be placed after them.
  10. The distance between lines - whether in the text or footnotes - should be single-spaced.
  11. Leave only one extra space between any title and the first line of the paragraph following it, and do not leave extra spaces between lines in any part of the research.
  12. All paragraphs of the research are indented.
  13. Punctuation marks (period, comma, semicolon, etc.) are written after the last letter of the word directly preceding the punctuation mark without any spaces separating them.
  14. Do not leave any space between the conjunction (and) and the word directly following it.
  15. Do not leave any spaces between brackets and the words preceding or following them or the words inside them.
  16. Do not use multiple styles or different-sized fonts.
  17. Do not use titles such as Dr. or Prof, whether within the text, in the footnotes, or when writing the author's name.
  18. In scientific research written in Arabic, the reference to tables and figures is as follows: Table No. (1):, Figure No. (1):
  19. In scientific research written in English, the reference to tables and figures is as follows: Tab. No. (1):, Fig. No. (1):
  20. The title of the table or figure is written in normal font above the table or figure, and its source is written below the table or figure.
  21. The table style is "normal table".

  • The International Journal of Hotel, Tourism and Restoration Studies (IJHTRS) adopts the Harvard style for writing references in submitted scientific research.
  • References are arranged alphabetically in both Arabic and English.

First: References in Arabic

1-1 Writing references within the text:

- One author with a family name (Fayed, 2024).

- 2 authors of one book with family names (Fayed and Latif, 2024).

- 2 authors of two different books with family names (Fayed, 2022; Latif 2023).

- 3 or more authors of the book (Fayed et al., 2024).

1-2 Writing references in the reference list:

- Atallah, Farouk Abdel Nabi Hassanein (2010), "Tourism and the Environment", Dar El-Elm, Cairo, Egypt.

2-1 Writing references within the text:

- In case of single author with family name (Fayed, 2024).

- In case of Two authors for one book with family name (Fayed & Lotaief, 2024).

- In case of Two authors for two books with family name (Fayed, 2022; Lotaief, 2023).

- In case of three or more authors for one book with family name (Fayed et al., 2024)
